In the movie "The Lord of the Rings: The fellowship of the ring" there are many important characters, such as the hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin, the wizard Gandalf, the elf Legolas, the dwarf Gimli, and the humans Boromir and Aragorn. Peter Jackson directed the movie, which came out in 2001 and won several Academy Awards. Howard Shore's amazing soundtrack is considered one of the best movie soundtracks ever made.

"So do I, and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

One of the most memorable scenes in the movie is when the characters get lost in Khazad Dum, a dark and scary mine also known as Moria. Frodo, who is the main character, feels overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. It's in this moment that Gandalf, comforts Frodo with the quote "So do I, and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

This quote means that everyone goes through tough times and it's okay to feel scared and uncertain. But, it's not up to us to control what happens in the world. What we can control is how we react to it. We must use our time wisely and make the most of it, even in the darkest times. The quote inspires Frodo to keep going and to try to make a difference, no matter how small. It's a powerful message that many people can relate to, and it has become one of the most famous quotes from the movie.
